Therapists play a vital role in our society, and it’s crucial we give them the tools they need to protect themselves and deliver the nurturing care they're so passionate about providing to clients
– Jennifer Young
Award-winning therapist trainer, Jennifer Young has launched more free educational content to support therapists affected by lockdowns and the wider global pandemic.

Young and her team have unveiled a weekly webinar series hosted every Wednesday, between 2:00-3:00 PM GMT, and updated their existing library of free resources with new material.

The fresh content is aimed at empowering therapists and beauty practitioners with the information they need to protect themselves and care for vulnerable clients – in particular those living with, being treated for or recovering from cancer.

Upcoming webinar sessions will be hosted by Young and include:
  • 27 January: Cancer Treatment and Scalp Care

  • 3 February: Scalp Care Tips from the experts

  • 10 February: Menopause – the unexpected side-effect of cancer treatment

  • 17 February: Treatment related infertility

  • 24 February: Nail care during cancer treatment

  • 3 March: Focus on self-help – Jennifer talks to expert guests who will teach us

  • 10 March: Feet and Chemotherapy

  • 17 March: Acupressure in practice - Jennifer talks to an expert guest to discover

  • 24 March: Using essential oils for positivity

  • 31 March: Live Q&A with Jennifer Young and guests

  • This content update follows Young’s previous rollout of courses in 2020, including a free Cancer Awareness coursewhich has been accessed by more than 2,500 therapists.

The launches complement Young’s existing range of paid accredited and certified oncology massage and treatment courses, designed to help make the spa and beauty industry more inclusive.

She said: “2020 hasn’t changed the need for meaningful wellbeing practices for individuals, especially those who are vulnerable, it’s simply highlighted the need even further and resulted in even more people desperate for support.

“Therapists play a vital, and often undervalued, role in our society, and it’s crucial we give them the tools they need to protect themselves as well as to deliver the nurturing care that they are so passionate about providing to their clients.”

Young is an experienced microbiologist, nutritional therapist, an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine, qualified aromatherapist, beauty therapist and product formulator.

She's also a cancer touch training specialist and founded specialist skincare range for cancer patients – Defiant Beauty – which has developed 300 specialist products to soothe the effects of cancer treatment.
