Kirsty MacCormick will lead Crerar Hotels' spa operations across its seven hotels and inns in Scotland
Scottish hotel group Crerar Hotels has announced industry figure Kirsty MacCormick as its new group spa manager.

With 30 years of experience behind her, MacCormick has worked for established brands including Mandarin Oriental, Hilton, Champneys Health Resorts and Kohler, as well as Elemental Herbology.

Her appointment is claimed to cement Crerar Hotels’ commitment to driving the spa branch of its business, following significant investment in two of its hotels’ offerings this year.

The newly refurbished and rebranded Shore Spa at Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa and Coast Spa Golf View Hotel & Spa closely are set to launch imminently.

MacCormick has previously held numerous spa director and manager roles – including two years at The Sequoia Spa at The Grove – and overseen pre-opening for a variety of spa projects.

She’s also worked with spa management and consultancy firm, Spatality, as well as Onyx Hotel Group, where she rebranded the spa offering across the group.

MacCormick runs her own spa consultancy named The Spa Consultancy and previously developed a nail salon brand, The Nail Yard, in Edinburgh.

She comments: “I’m delighted to be taking up this role at Crerar Hotels as I’m joining a brilliant and dynamic team.

“With the upcoming launches of the newly refurbished spas, it’s an exciting time to become a part of the Crerar Hotels family. I want to use my experience within the industry to cement our place as home to some of the best spas in Scotland.

“The way in which Crerar Hotels is committed to caring for its staff and guests is truly refreshing to see in the hospitality industry and I’m very much looking forward to leading the spa teams across the portfolio.”

Chris Wayne-Wills, CEO of Crerar Hotels, says: “I’m thrilled Kirsty is joining the team, especially at what can only be described as a pivotal moment for our spa offering.

“Her experience in the spa industry is second to none and I’m confident it will help us drive this area of the business forward in line with our ambitious aim of ensuring our destinations become some of Scotland’s most well-known spa destinations.

“Our teams will be in great hands with Kirsty, and we hope they’ll go from strength to strength, expanding through our ongoing recruitment push.”

Crerar Hotels has a collection of four- and five-star hotels and inns located in locations across Scotland such as Mull, Glencoe and Loch Fyne.
