Rowbots, the boutique fitness brand co-founded by star footballer Gareth Bale, has revealed plans to open its second London studio.

Set to open on 17 May, the studio will be located at Broadgate Quarter, a 456,000sq ft office campus located at the junction of the City and Shoreditch.

Offering full-body workouts using rowing machines and floor exercises, the concept was launched by Bale alongside CEO Sam Green and brand specialist, Greg Zimmerman.

Bale – who's currently playing for London club Tottenham Hotspur, on loan from his parent club Real Madrid – is famous for including rowing as an integral part of his fitness routine, which in turn spurred his involvement in the new concept.

The first Rowbots site opened in London's Fitzrovia in 2019, occupying a 1,800sq ft space and housing 11 rowing machines and floor area with a capacity of 22 people per class.

The new site in the City will be a similar set-up.

Sam Green, Rowbots CEO, said: “We’re extremely excited to bring our brand to the City’s Broadgate Quarter.

"After several months of searching for the ideal site for our second studio, we felt Broadgate Quarter was the perfect fit being situated so close to London’s key cultural and dynamic business districts.

"I’m very much looking forward to opening the doors on 17 May and bringing the Rowbots workout and all-round experience to East London commuters and residents."
