A new themed attraction, based on the popular I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
TV show, is set to open in the UK this year.

To be located at the Lowry Outlet Mall in Salford, Greater Manchester, the I'm A Celebrity... Jungle Challenge indoor park will be marketed as a "multi-sensory adrenaline adventure".

It will enable visitors to compete to be "king or queen of the jungle" – following the format of the TV show – by collecting gold stars.

The stars can be earned by taking part in 90-minute challenges, such as zip wires, climbing walls, mazes and parachute drops.

Zones within the indoor attraction will be themed and named after the TV show's iconic challenge areas – including Main Camp, Croc Creek and Snake Rock.

The attraction is being developed by broadcaster ITV, which owns the rights to the show.

I'm A Celebrity... Jungle Challenge was first announced back in 2019, but its launch has been delayed due to the pandemic.

A spokesperson told Attractions Management: "The Jungle Challenge team are working hard to get the attraction ready for a 2021 opening, however, we are having to accommodate the challenges presented by COVID-19.

"It will be the perfect day out for all the family. Campmates will venture into the specially created jungle where you’ll need to navigate a series of obstacles and challenges.

"They can then face their fears, test their nerve and agility and collect as many stars as they can for their chance to be crowned “King” or “Queen” of the jungle!"

Following the challenge, guests can visit a themed 'Tree-top Studio' gift shop.

I'm A Celebrity... Jungle Challenge adds to the range of themed attractions featuring ITV shows, which it has developed as part of its "More Than TV" strategy.

Others include the Emmerdale Village Tour, Coronation Street – The Tour and Ninja Warrior UK.
