Chessington's Wild Asia set for March debut
POSTED 07 Jan 2010 . BY Martin Nash
Wild Asia, Chessington World of Adventures' new ancient and mythical Asian kingdom, is scheduled to open at the UK park on 27 March.

The new land sees visitors navigating their way through fallen temples to discover a crumbling lost kingdom rumoured to channel the supernatural powers of sacred animals. Central to the attraction is a new snake-themed Disk'O Coaster ride called Kobra, spinning riders through the air on a 90m track at speeds of more than 40mph.

Other planned attractions will be the Jungle Bus, Tuk Tuk Turmoil Dodgems, Monkey Swinger and the Temple of Mayhem.

A major feature will be the Lorikeet Lagoon, a walkthrough aviary, while further diversions include the Maharaja's Market and a restaurant offering authentic Asian dining.

Wild Asia replaces Beanoland, which closed during Chessington's 2009 season.
