3d Leisure will be introducing its "Monday Mile" initiative next month
Management company 3d Leisure is introducing a "Monday Mile" initiative at its corporate wellbeing sites from next month to help inactive employees get fit.

The campaign at 15 locations will focus on encouraging non-gym members to complete a mile each Monday. 3d instructors will be on hand to provide help and guidance to employees.

Operations director Paul Ramsay said: "We are encouraging all employees to complete a mile each Monday as a first step to becoming active. They can do this in the gym or just in their everyday life. If they decide to do it in the gym then we are offering them free access each Monday and support from an instructor to help them complete their mile."

Other initiatives to get employees active include 3d's ‘couch to 5k programme’, which is led by an instructor taking two sessions per week, initially starting with a short walk and working up to a 5k run.
