Swiss health clinic operator, Clinique La Prairie, has partnered with hotel owner and operator Minor Hotels to open and operate a medi-spa at the Minor-owned The St. Regis Bangkok, under the MSpa International brand.

Covering two floors, the 1,000sq m medi-spa will replace the hotel’s existing Elemis spa and become Clinique La Prairie’s second opening outside of Switzerland, joining the recently opened Madrid city hub destination.

The announcement is part of Clinique La Prairie’s international development roll-out, which will see the brand open Clinique La Prairie city hubs offering medical, aesthetic and wellness services.

“Our mission is to bring our unique fusion of science and holistic wellness directly to our global clientele,” said Simone Gibertoni, CEO, Clinique La Prairie.

The overhaul is expected to take six months with the medi-spa opening during Q2 2020 with 10 treatment rooms, four aesthetic medicine rooms, and four health and nutrition consultation spaces.

Dillip Rajakarier, group CEO of Minor, said: “Bangkok is the global capital of medical and wellness tourism and we’re confident the expertise of the Clinique La Prairie Aesthetics and Medical Spa will be very well received by residents and visitors to Thailand.”

Located on the 15th floor, the medi-spa will feature male and female relaxation areas, each spread over two floors: with a relaxation lounge and floating pods on the mezzanine level, while the lower wet area of each have steamrooms, whirlpool spas, cold plunge pools and multi-sensory experience showers.

The treatment menu will echo the offerings at the flagship clinic in Switzerland along with procedures designed exclusively for the medi-spa at St. Regis Bangkok.

Gibertoni said: “We offer a unique level of care which wraps guests in cutting edge healthcare and wellness.

“After nearly 90 years of heritage in Switzerland, the clinic's ambition is to offer its expertise and holistic approach to wellbeing based on the main pillars of medical care – wellness, nutrition and exercise – abroad.

“Clinique La Prairie is a global leader when it comes to longevity-based programs,” said Zoe Wall, group director of MSpa International. “The clinic will deliver bespoke experiences with a results-driven focus and provide individual consultations to address longevity, beauty and nutrition to create tailor-made programmes which enhance guests’ lifestyle.”

St. Regis Bangkok is part of Minor’s portfolio of 530 hotels in 56 countries.
