Recent US$150m investment from Fortress is fuelling F45’s franchise plans
F45 has launched a corporate partnership programme which will enable businesses to open an F45 studio inside their own company premises.

Aerospace and defence company, Northrop Grumman, will be among the first to join F45’s new corporate scheme.

“We see tremendous growth potential within the corporate channel, as employers seek to elevate their health and wellness offerings for employees,” said Adam J Gilchrist, president, CEO and chairman of F45 Training. “Our corporate partnership programme is a great opportunity for organisations to prioritise their employees’ health and recruit top talent.”

F45 already runs a virtual corporate wellness initiative it set up as a virtual tool to connect remote workforces and keep employees active during lockdowns. Now companies can choose from an on-site F45 studio, on-demand workouts or live-streaming classes – or join the F45 corporate partnership programme and open their own studio.

Following a successful Q1 2022 during which F45 recorded US$50m in revenue – a 175 per cent increase from the US$18m during the same period in 2021 – the company has driven a succession of launches.

Earlier in June 2022, F45 launched into the hotel market at the Hilton Austin, a move that followed a US$150m investment from investment group Fortress Credit Corporation.

This capital injection led to the company launching F45After, which provides financing to US military and veterans for F45 franchises in collaboration with the US Department of Defense.

In the previous month, David Beckham, an F45 partner, introduced a new football-inspired workout called DB45, which had been designed by Beckham in partnership with F45’s new chief of athletics, Hollywood trainer, Gunnar Peterson.

In an exclusive interview with HCM in April 2022, Peterson hinted at what would be coming next when asked what trends he saw emerging in the fitness space. “The honing of the hybrid model, which is strength plus conditioning, plus movement, all brought to life with futuristic technology,” he said. “F45 is at the forefront of this and showing no signs of slowing down.”

F45 has approximately 1,155 franchisees and around 900 contracted franchises worldwide.
