Alchemy Wellness Resorts is a new hospitality and wellness management company spearheaded by Tammy Pahel and Patrick Fernandes.

The two hospitality and wellness specialists have joined forces while working together at beachfront boutique hotel and spa, Carillon Miami Wellness Resort.

Headquartered in Miami Beach, Florida, Alchemy’s mission is to partner with resorts, hotels, developers and real estate investors to develop a specialised approach prioritising innovative wellness programmes, strategic development and sustainable financial growth, all while enhancing the guest experience.

In conjunction with the launch, Alchemy will assume strategic management responsibilities for Carillon Miami and consulting and advisory services to the Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort in Switzerland.

Fernandes has assumed the role of CEO of Alchemy while Pahel has been named chief wellness officer.

With more than 35 years of industry experience, Pahel is VP of spa and wellness at Carillon Miami. Throughout her career, she’s been a prominent figure in the spa and wellness industry, having served as an International Spa Association Board member, Global Wellness Summit Ambassador and currently serving as director of education for the Southeast Spa Wellness Association (SESPAA).

In recent years, she's struck up strategic partnerships with global technology brands to advance Carillon Miami’s technology and touchless wellness experiences during a time when people are seeking different types of wellness services, while strategically developing new revenue streams and increasing profitability.

“We’re excited to bring an innovative, technology-driven approach to curating unique experiences and wellness journeys in the most desired locations around the world,” said Pahel.

“We look forward to partnering with exceptional properties and brands around the world to enhance operations, expand first-class wellness offerings and capitalise on growth opportunities while serving the evolving needs of today’s guests.”

Fernandes added: “The global wellness economy represents a tremendous opportunity for Alchemy to expand our best-in-class services and pioneering approach to reach more travellers and guests looking for new and different ways to relax, recharge and prioritise mental and physical health and wellbeing”.

Fernandes brings more than 20 years of hospitality and wellness experience to his new position and currently serves as executive managing director of Carillon Miami.

Earlier in his career, Fernandes held various roles across the hospitality industry, serving as hotel manager of Faena Hotel Miami Beach; director of training and quality at The Setai, in South Beach; senior consultant at F&G Hospitality Consulting, a premier hospitality consulting firm; and GM at InterContinental Hotels Group, a British multinational hospitality company.

“With our wellness expertise, resources and extensive network of industry relationships, we’re distinctively positioned to expand our tailored, time-tested approach to improve the quality and quantity of wellness solutions offered by the leading international resorts and hotels we partner with.”
