Lensbury Club gym to be upgraded
POSTED 26 Aug 2008 . BY Pete Hayman
The Lensbury Club in Teddington, Middlesex is investing more than £200,000 in upgrading its gym facilities.

The work will see the 380sq m (4,090.3sq ft) adults-only facility fully-equipped by Life Fitness, which is the club's partner in the revamp.

Equipment including treadmills, cross-trainers and bikes from the suppliers' new Engage range will be fitted in a newly introduced zoned layout. The Life Fitness Circuit Series will also be installed, as well as a range of resistance stations for all levels of experience.

Manager of the Lensbury Club, Annabel Graham, said: "Market research and consultation with our members showed that Life Fitness offers the best equipment on the market.

The club currently has 10,000 members, and has a six-month waiting list for new adult applications.

"The combination of innovative equipment and an exciting zoned layout, will ensure the club maintains its retention rate of 95 per cent, which reflects its ongoing commitment to member satisfaction," said Paul Nugent, Life Fitness' sales executive.

The gym will close on 5 September for the one-week upgrade work, which follows a recent refurbishment of guest accommodation at the club.
